Papamochani Ekadashi, one of the most spiritually powerful Ekadashi

It falls between Holika Dahan and Chaitra Navratri, marking an auspicious period of cleansing, devotion, and preparation for the new Vedic year.

Why is it called Papamochani Ekadashi?

The word Papamochani translates to “the remover of sins.” Scriptures describe this sacred fast as a spiritual purifier. Devotees believe that observing this vrat helps dissolve even severe transgressions and grants divine grace from Lord Vishnu. It is said that the merit earned from Papamochani Ekadashi surpasses that of many pilgrimages and large-scale charitable acts.
