The Papamochani Ekadashi Katha, narrated by Lord Krishna to Arjuna, recounts the story of Medhavi Rishi and the apsara Manjughosha. Under the influence of Kamadeva, Manjughosha distracts the sage from his penance, leading him into delusion. Later, distressed by his lapse, Medhavi is advised to observe Papamochani Ekadashi to cleanse himself of the accumulated sin.
